how could it be wrong???? it is stated in the reciprocity of documents that UAE police clearance is not available to those who's not physically present in UAE.. and in their case his fiance is not in UAE anymore... meaning there's no need for her to get police clearance there (not posible)... you are right that anyone who lives 6 months or more in any country should get police clearance there but there's always an exception...

btw, the link i have given says it all and i think it is official... :)

I just got one for myself from Muscat, Oman. I requested my friend to do it on my behalf as I have not gone back there since 2007 but lived there for 13 years. She got it the same day after submitting required documents & fees.

My fiance use to work in dubai uae shes not working there anymore for long time and shes in the philippines now does she need to get police clearance in dubai because theres no way she can comeback there just to get police clearance

USEM knows you can't get a police certificate from Dubai without being there in person, so they waive that requirement. There are a few countries that will not issue a police certificate unless applied for in person.

Hi All,

I'm also confused about getting "Police Clearance". But i am currently searching here in VJ if there's such experience about being ask for Police Clearance. Certainly i came to read some who worked from Taiwan and Singapore. But still i can't get solid information about it spefically if the Fiance is out of the Country of Origin for more than 6 months.

I also worked in UAE (Abu Dhabi) for almost 6yrs. Just after reading this trail, i sent an email to my previous employer requesting if there's a possibility that they can assist me of getting a "Police Clearance". I also feel like i want to be on a safe side. What is nice about UAE, we had an Emirates Identity Card which validates all your personal records. I hope they can assist me and be available before my interview.

Have a great day to all.
