My fiancée has 3 children. My question is, can my fiancée be the first to be interviewed and come to the US without the children? And once she is settled, we can bring the children here? Or do they have to undergo medical and interview, at the same time as my fiancée? Her children are age 19, 16 and 11 y.o. Thanks for the replies!

The children can receive what are called follow-to-join benefits, whereby they enter the US at a later time than the K-1 applicant, but I believe the absolute time limit is that any K-2 children must enter the US within one year of the issuance of the principal's K-1. Beyond that time they would need to be re-petitioned all over again from scratch.

Correcty and make sure you understand the conditions under which the eldest child may age out and not be eligible for a K-2 visa.

they will have seperate medical, interview and visa applications (so plan ahead)

now - it's up to you two if 'same day' or later -

if later - that's called 'follow to join' and it's best if the IV Unit knows about the children on the fiance's interview day so they'll be expecting the visa application documents later.
