Mrs. K, my husband had his interview on May 6th and they actually scheduled him that very same day for his oath ceremony (which took place the following week, May 15th). He received an actual letter in the mail on Monday May 13th for the oath ceremony. We live in San Diego and thought the scheduling for the oath ceremony would take longer, so we were pleasantly surprised that it only took 9 days from interview to oath.

Good luck to you. :)

Same here. After the interview, we went down a floor or two with the AO, and we waited like five minutes before he came back with an Oath Ceremony letter for us a few weeks later.

Was interviewed on May 7. Passed interview. Have been waiting for an oath letter for about 6 weeks now. The local oath ceremony (of which there are only 3 in my area/year) came and went last Friday. I was not invited. I guess I'm SOL until the next oath ceremony in November.

When they say they'll process your application in 5 months.... that's obviously only the average. Mine will be 11 months now unless they hold a special ceremony just for me (read: not likely).

I'm from Springfield, IL. Wanted to share my story not only because I'm deeply disappointed but also to help others understand that if they're waiting... they're not the only ones.

Good luck!

It all depends on your location. Some does the oath taking on the same day of their interview and some has to wait for the next schedule as there are places who only do oath ceremony like once a month or less.
