Old = engagement ring (inherited from my great-grandmother)

New = dress

Borrowed = earrings (from my sister)

Blue = beads on my sandals

Tried to find a pic that showed all 4, but my dad is the world's worst photographer and I can't find the ones our roommate took (she's very good).

OUR COMPLETE TIMELINE

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

old- my necklace: a gift from my grandpa to my grandma

new- lots: dress, shoes...

borrowed: a little watch from my mum

blue: the lace on a handkerchief i got from my best friend

2001 - met in Germany

April 2003 - fell in love

Aug 2004 - go to the US for internship

Feb 2005 - both return to Germany

Aug 2006 - getting married

DCF timeline:

09/01/2006 - filed the petition in Frankfurt

09/06/2006 - medical in Frankfurt

09/26/2006 - faxed checklist

10/05/2006 - received interview invite

11/01/2006 - INTERVIEW in Frankfurt - approved!

11/04/2006 - VISA IN HAND!!

12/21/2006 - POE San Francisco and ON TO SEA!

Blue: My mom's best friend gave me this little blue cross charm thing. I tied it around the bottom of my boquet. I still have it :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Something old: How old does it have to be ? It looks like it refers to something from a grandmother, or when one of the 2 was a kid....

What is old enough? If its something my mom received as a gift 7 years ago is it old enough ?

Old enough to do what? I think the idea behind 'old' is a connection with the past, so it's more 'something inherited or meaningful' than age.

I'll be happy if we manage to make it to the aisle.
