This is what they called "Disappearing" someone. The usual result is...

1. He remains "disappeared" forever and no one knows what happened to him

2. He re-appears after "surrendering himself" in some jurisdiction where he can be extradited or maybe even in the USA for a "show trial"

Obama has apparently read up on Stalin's tactics. Ruthless and relentless spying on internal "enemies of the state" and the use of government agencies to harass and punish political enemies. Even the anti-communist, "Conservative Republican" coming forward to say HE did it, not Stalin Obama

Attacking the constitution as being necessary to defend the interests of all. The Soveit constitution specifically allowed Republics to seceed, allowed "freedom of speech" and other "rights" which had to be modified, just a little..at a time, to protect the state

The fact that the U.S. is not a free country is something that my stepkids are going to struggle with.

Although they are from a formerly communist country, they have a lot of personal freedom in Mongolia, which they won't have in the U.S. In Mongolia, they could pee outside without becoming a sex offender, walk to school alone, play in the park with their friends unsupervised, buy vodka at the store for their uncle, etc. etc. I think they won't understand why people, especially kids, have no freedom in a country that's advertised to be free.

If I was still a kid that peeing in public thing would be a deal breaker for me. Luckily now I'm an adult and can just pee anywhere I want.

You can do all that where I live except for the last one. Many neighborhoods have their own park.

When I was a kid, we could do much of that too, but a lot of this has changed, at least where I live. If you let your kids out of the house alone to play/walk to school/buy vodka, it means that they will be abducted and raped by someone, and that you are a horrible parent for letting them out.

No problem. Glad to help. With neither of us working and Alla on summer break from school we are enjoying our European vacation. Prague, Vienna and Verona so far. Oh, she loves the Blue Passport! We will add Moscow, Kharkov and Ankara (gotta hit those Turkish beaches!) before coming back for a few days in NYC and then a weekend in Montreal. But Montreal is hardly "foreign travel" for us, just the nearest city. Kind of high crime because they don't let people carry guns, but we risk it.

Sucks to have a place in Donetsk.

Oh and Penny, dear, Ukraine is Eastern time +7 And we even have high speed cable internet with unlimited access and a wi-fi router! Can you even imagine???!!!!! So it is really 2pm here...I know you like to keep track.
