I suggest you look at this flow chart within the guides to see where you are and what needs to be done next. You need to look at PI specific information as that is the Embassy you are going thru. When you have specific questions you can ask.

Good luck,

Dave

As soon as the packet arrives, go pay for the Visa App. We paid at BPI and needed to print out the Visa Deposit slip from online. Her is the link for K-1 http://ustraveldocs.com/ph/pmisdepositslip.htm?amount=240&country=philippines.

I had all the forms ready except the DS-156 (that she had to do online) and went crazy waiting for my fiancee to get her packet. I had a bit of a mix-up with my last name being spelled with an F instead of P so I used that as excuse to call the Manila Embassy and asked if we had to wait and they said yes. She got her packet 2 days later (about a 3 week wait).

We now have all the forms done (DS-156 (2 copies), DS-157 (2 copies), DS-156K (1), and the DS-230 part 1 (1). We have 3 folders with them in there (overkill I know). We basically have everything in triplicate just in case. Some things like the Visa Deposit slip (payment receipt), Embassy Letter from the packet and the Appointment letter (from online that I did from the US) we have 6 copies of.

She had been to Japan for close to six months before. She has her police clearance from them. NOTE: DO NOT OPEN THESE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES (so we were told).

Her NBI is only 4 months old. We did her Passport before we even met face to face so I could get a copy when I was there. We have 6 complete copies of it and 6 copies of the biographic page.

I had sent my I-134 package to her via FedEx ($133) as soon as I got my NOA2 (in triplicate also)

Congratulations on the approved I129F and good luck dancin5hr.gif

Thank you Lord! You have literately given me Mercy!

Once you get your MNL case number from the National Visa Center (NVC), you can pay the visa application fee at BPI and then schedule an interview appointment. You do not have to wait for the Embassy. The Embassy does not send packets to K-1ers. Instead, they send a letter via PhilPost. The letter informs you that you are eligible to schedule an interview appointment and it gives instructions on how to prepare for the interview. Don't wait for the letter. Sometimes the letter never arrives. Go ahead and schedule your interview.

Here's the "eligibility" letter: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2_005.pdf
