Cost to apply for AOS

Hey just wondering if anyone knows how much it costs to apply for the AOS.

We have all our paperwork together and just need to write the cheque.
I am a K1 fiance visa holder.

I'm reading that its $1000, is that the exact amount because I thought i've seen it before where its $1070

Agreed with Harpa. Check that you have everything in the VJ checklist: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos and re-read the USCIS instructions.

The AOS filing fee is stated in the I-485 form instructions on the USCIS website.

I just sent all the documents for the AOS of my wife and stepson. I did not include the form I-130. There is not place in this forum that mentions that this form must be submitted for the AOS and the price is $420.00.

Please be all aware of this before filing.

A K-1 holder who married during the 90 days after arrival doesn't have to file a I-130 petition (unless you waited years before filing for AOS).

I-130 is for people adjusting from another type of visa. In the K-1 case, a petition for alien relative has already been filed out (I-129F).

That person is not adjusting from a K-1 visa.

Be aware that this is a topic from 2010, so the filing fee is outdated. It is $1,070 right now.
