Sometimes. There usually isn't anything I really need that badly. After seeing two women get into a fist-fight at WalMart 2 years ago, I tend to avoid those sales now.

I sometimes go afterward and see if there's anything decent left.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I'd like to experience it at least once during my life. I've never done it. Even if I had nothing special to buy, I want to see what really happens in the stores while I'm still snoozing away.

I go to the store later in the day if I need something. It's not a shopping day for me. I do like shopping though. :innocent:

Never go to the early bird specials, I like to sleep in... :P Sometimes I go shopping later in the day if I really have to get something, not because of the deals.

I just cant think of anything I want or need so badly that its worth facing the crowds to save a few bucks. BUT then again while I love to go shopping I rarely buy anything at any time of the year.

I never heard of it as "Black Friday" til this year. Anyway, I've discovered ONLINE Black Friday. I hate shopping, but it's a good day to buy my MacBook for 101 dollars off. Woohoo.

eta: To buy it at apple.com, NOT at the store. NO WAY are you getting me into a store today.

I really didn't think that really existed.

Has anyone ever seen that Simpsons episode where they make up a holiday only to lure people into buying stuff?

I am impressed and amazed by how that is just true.

I wanted to get a $250 laptop from BestBuy so I drove to 23rd and 6th at 4:30am

last night, thinking I would be the only person crazy enough to be there at 4am.

When I got there, I saw about a thousand people standing in line. Insane. I then

drove uptown to 86th and Lexington, hoping that all those bargain hunters from Brooklyn

and New Jersey wouldn't go that far. Same #######.

I gave up and went home. :(

Oh no...not me. I thought I had seen the worst of humanity when it comes to commercialism. Oh was I wrong! There is NO WAY in H*LL I'll ever do that again.

As far as shopping later in the day....NOPE. Still too scared to get out. It's still mayhem!

Online shopping is the only shopping I'd do on Black Friday. ;)

Not only that, they were giving out tickets for the limited-quantity items like the Toshiba for $250, so you could wait in line for nothing.
