Hey guys!

So me and my fiancee just got our NOA2.. Late November filer.. Quick question though. I received the approval in the mail but there were no instructions on what to do next, just basically an approval. Don't I need to now send the I-134F to the USCIS? Or will I send that to her and she will show the embassy in Kazakhstan? And also, I make about $27,500 a year gross at my job, we don't have kids, is this enough or do I need a co sponsor? I don't have ANY assets at all as I am only 24 years old. Where can I find the guidelines as to how much I am required to make? Also, I don't need to submit tax returns if I am not self employed correct? Just get a statement from someone at my bank verifying the deposits made by my work? Thanks for the help guys!

You sent the I-134, along with all the supporting required documents to your fiance. She will receive a packet as to what is needed from the embassy.

$27,500 is double the poverty guidelines, so you should be fine. http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/13poverty.cfm

Tax returns are a requirement as proof of this income.

Thanks! I was a temp at this job all year last year though and just recently got hired permanently in February of this year. Should I still send the tax returns and a letter stating that as well as a letterhead from my boss?

Yes, get that letter, as they need proof it is a permanent job. Then back up proof of this income via your paystubs and previous years tax returns (get the IRS transcripts - ordered through their website), and you should be fine.

The USCIS sends no instructions for what happens after the NOA2 approval. You needed to research and get that info on your own. Each consulate has their own procedures and requirements.

Info about your consulate > http://kazakhstan.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html

Please be aware that a lot of consulates want to see 125% of the poverty level and follow the guidelines for the I-864, even when using the I-134 at the K-1 interview. You have enough income still, so not a problem, but just wanted to put that out there. Here are the poverty guidelines > http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

I have one question to you guys

I look at this numbers in poverty guidelines , and I wonder how we must calculate them , I mean in I134 , before-tax or after tax?

What we have to fill - gross yearly incomes or net yearly incomes? Very important as we are household of 5.

From what I understood via my research is it is the income before taxes, i.e. taxable income.

No. It is not the past income or just the income you have made in 2013 up until now. It is your current annual income. Your hourly pay rate times how many hours you work a week, then multiplied by 52 weeks. Provide letter from employer and most recent pay stub(s) to prove that income. IF you are self-employed it works a bit differently and they will go by line 22 of your most recent 1040 tax form.
