Revised I-864 form processing procedures

I recently submitted the I-864 and I-864a for my spouse. After 20 days I called the NVC since I hadn't heard anything. They said they had received the form, however this was an updated version of the form which has only been online for a few months now. The guy told me that they currently do not have a procedure in place to process the revised version of the form, so until then there will be no further processing on I-864 forms. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar response from them. I called again to see if I got the same response, and I did. They said currently there is no timeframe for how long it will take them to develop a procedure to process these revised forms. Frustrating!!

Search the threads, there are several comments about the same thing.

New directions from VJ members is to use the old form until is expiration date.

I have a copy of the old form. Do you think I should send that as well or will it not matter at this point?

I have no idea.. my first impression is that it would cause a delay, but I would ask a supervisor at nvc.. hopefully you will get someone with a heart.. I have only had nice encounters there so far

same here submitted the new version, and its been a month. i received the same response when i called nvc.

Me too submitted the new version, and its been a 22 days . i received the same response when i called nvc I asked if I could send the old one she said no that they already received my i864 but it's on hold they don't know how to review them

since we are talking about 1-864 iam confused on part 5 , sponcers household size
iam filling this form for my spouse ,

its going to be only me and my wife in house

so should be a total of 2

but i get 3 because it adds me already and add one from number 7 which is 1 and then add 1 if married , what should i do

You DO NOT add 1 to the married part because it says DO NOT count anyone twice. I thought same and everyone told me no to as well, hope this helps

also people says to send 3yrs of tax return but on bold it says only 1 year on the new form, so just 1 yr i would say,
what is ur view, 1 or 3 yrs of rax return

You need at least the last year. But sending 3 years of transcripts is helpful if you consistently have been over the poverty guidelines. You need to have filed for the last three years however (or have a good reason why you haven't.)
