Hi all! I finally had good news after calling the NVC. They gave me the case number and the invoice ID but said (again!) to wait 10-20 business days and they will e-mail us. The lady was bit robotic I felt and couldn't really answer my questions...so I was wondering, what are they going to e-mail us with, instructions? And since the next step is to send them the DS 3032 Choice of Agent, couldn't I just download that and send it without waiting for any e-mail? Thank you!

Love will prevail

Go ahead and send the email! That way you can get ahead of things. Send it from the beneficiary's email, and follow the template like in the monthly NVC thread.

No you can make payments as soon as they are available to pay on the payment portal!

Choice of agent will eventually make the IV invoice show up.

I see people call NVC to get the case number. Do we really need to call them to get the case number?

I got a snail mail from NVC that had the NVC Case Number and an Invoice I.D Number to pay the AOS fee of $88 just after 3 weeks USCIS approved my I130.

You're lucky. Most people would have to wait MONTHS for that.

Most people call the NVC because it is the quickest way to get information to and from them.

Congratulations on getting your case number! good.gif

I highly recommend reading this guide, if you haven't already. It really emphasizes being proactive during this process...rather than reactive.

I agree with many others never to wait for any correspondence from NVC. If you want this process to be speedy, you should already anticipate all the steps.

Please do read this guide thoroughly. I followed it to the letter and had zero problems.

Hope this helps you some! Good luck with your journey!
