The White House Visitors Log reveals that President Barack Obama met with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) union boss Colleen Kelley on March 31, 2010—the day before the Inspector General's report says the IRS began its scheme to target tea party and conservative groups.

Furthermore, Obama appointed Colleen Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), to the Federal Salary Council whose job is to recommend pay raises for IRS and other federal employees one week after Obama and Democrats suffered historic midterm losses in 2010. Two years later, Kelley’s 150,000-member union had raised $580,412, 94% of which went to Democratic federal candidates.

The group also strongly backed Obama's reelection.

He might have trouble wiggling out of this one. He said he had no knowledge of the report before he heard it on the news. I have no doubt he knew about this scandal a while back. Anybody that cares about our freedom should be worried. I think I will go to the protest rally at the IRS office tomorrow at noon.

I don't see how anyone can defend him on this.

However I am sure we are about to hear... "They all do it" "Why did no one get upset "insert something that happened 15+ years ago"

If you only get mad about something when it happens under the party you don't like, it's partisan anger. You get examples of past occurrences to show that the anger follows the party as opposed to the act itself. This is to keep biased opinions/outrage in context for others that may be reading. Not to justify

I tend to agree somewhat. Examples need to be made. I doubt it will end up with jail time, but it will depend on the depth of the scandal. Frankly, it seems like the tea party folks were most likely to try to get out of taxes since taxes are really what they're against. So I could easily see their petitions getting more scrutiny than others. This is something our 3rd world country vjers know all too well. Folks from the 3rd world get way more scrutiny of their k-1 or spousal petitions than our Canadian or European petitioners. Why? We know why.......

I didn't defend him, I pointed out that when GWB went after the NAACP, I didn't hear the GOP saying it was wrong. So I asked, how could it not be a scandal when GWB did it, yet it is now because Obama is the sitting president.
