I asked my mother and told her about these stuffs yet her only answer was if its God's will or not, then be it. They made their part already... I guess this is where I stop... I cannot add some more burden or stress on her

A letter of intent Is not enough to prove domicile in the US, he will need physical proof that he has an address and has set up domicile before the time of the interview. Not only that, he will need to fill out and I-864 affidavit of support. If he does not meet the minimum income requirements, a joint sponsor will be needed. Best of luck!

Maybe he needs to return to continue the process, I understand we all get older &

you say the wait was over 15 years, many people gets older and yearn for the old

country (no one can be mad at that), did he just want to retire at home and give the

younger generation a chance to come and get a good life too until retirement, or

is it because so much time has been invested/...You know tourist visas can allow the

family to visit and have re-unions ......best wishes

My parents were already interviewed. Though the outcome is not a yes or no. My parents presented my grandpa's case that led my grandpa stay so the decision is hanging and there are some changes to be made.

So much time has been invested. For the tourist visa, it is I and my sister who will apply for that... whatever the decision will be for my parents case.

Just thinking, he would have Medicare presumably in the US, what would he have in PI?
