Is it lying?

What is your immigration status?

  1. 1. If she answers "I don't know" when you know for sure she had to apply, get prima facie, EAD, biometric, and RFE...

    • Is she lying? Yes

    • Or should she just say "I have confidentiality, it is none of your business" Not lying but simply exercising her right to privacy.

More background would be good. "I don;t know" is generally a bad answer, not just because it is lying, depending on what she DIES know, but also because it will arouse suspicion. Then again if she is asked the question by, say, a police officer and invokes confidentiality, they will likely be super suspicious why she doesn;t want to say.

Why are you talking to your ex?

His ex visited his daughter for Mother's Day which OP had to pay for the airfare and hotel room.
I supposed OP has to talk to his ex, for his child visitation. even thiough he might not want to.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

that is correct

Ex came to visit

I simply asked, what is your immigration status

She said "I don't know"

Also, she sent an email to my attorney (email written in perfect English by her boyfriend) that said "I don't know much about immigration, I only know it is in process."

Which is a lie, because I can assure you she has studied every detail of her immigration and research it in her native language.

Sounds like she lied so.

That being said, she has no obligation to tell you, either.

Yes Penguin she lied, but she doesn't have to say either.

An honest answer would be, "I don't have to tell you" is better than saying "I don't know" when you actually do know.

Americans were brought up with George Washington and the cherry tree. I don't know what they learn about honesty in some other countries.

Um, your wife has shown she is not scrupulous, so I don't know why you make a big deal out of this little thing. News flash: she's a liar.

It is a weird thing to ask, "what is your immigration status..."

She sounds like she has a bad case for VAWA so don't give her any ammunition by bullying her with questions.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thank you. Good advice from an MOT. But again only hearsay, no evidence.
