Thank for the response guys. That is what I originally assumed, but other questions in that column specifically stated "your relative" in the question, so I was a bit unsure.

If she is a student, should I write "student"? Or should I write "none"

Thanks for the fast reply guys! What a great place vj is.

Should I write "student" or "none" if she is currently a student?

Thanks guys!

You should be able to put either one. If you put none then it will save you from filling in the address etc. As long as whatever information you put is correct you should be fine. Personally I would put none. Hope this helps you out.

Hi guys,

I ha a quick question. On the I-130 form, question 15 states

"Name and address of current employer (if any)"

Is this question in reference to me or my relative in which I am applying for.

Thank you for the help!

It is about your relative for whom you are "petitioning". You are not applying for anything. The context is regarding employment in the USA, so unless they currently work here, the answer is N/A, though it won't cause a problem to list their current employer abroad.

As you move down the form, remember YOUR alien relative (if your spouse) has a spouse. It's YOU. So, in C17, YOUR NAME as the spouse of your alien relative goes there and then list your alien relative's children, if any. List them all, regardless of age and regardless of whether they intend to immigrate to the USA.
