Some just get lucky, some have help from congressman/senator, some are expedited cases.

Looking at Igor's list, if California keeps processing this fast you should have your approval very soon. Hang in there :)

We're just a few days apart with our NOA1 (September 12). 3 numbers ahead of mine for I-129F, 2 of which were approved last April 17 while the number prior to mine is still in Initial Review. We did not seek any help from a politician too. Hang in there, it will come soon :)

It's a good sign if ones near yours are recently approved. They are working on your section.

The alternative is all the ones near your number not being approved (or RFE) for months and months.

The numbers before us were all I539 then followed by 4 successive I129Fs which includes mine. The one after me got an RFE which I don't know exactly what the application was for.

Same here, sis. September filer and still under initial review. :)

God bless to all of us who are still waiting, sis :) :) :)

I don't believe that the numerically subsequent receipt number is the same type of application as yours. The number after my receipt is a I-765 Application for Work Authorization and the one before mine a I-539 application to change or extend non immigrant status. They would be sent to different queues with different processing times.
