I just ran across this and thought you all here might not of known about this yet. Seems like good news maybe. Going from CSC to VSC has to be a positive right? :P

We don't know if it is good or not. As more and more K3s are approved by CSC, but there is no good news from VSC.

Any updates from VJers who were trnasferred to VSC?

Not quite. NBC is transferring I-129F petitions for spouse to both the CSC and VSC based on where the I-130 was filed.

I was worried about that twood2k, but it looks like most of the last few tranferees that have been approved had august NOA1 dates, so maybe it's not totally out of order. Oh well, there's nothing we can do about it unfortunately, so I try not to get too upset :(

Oh goody!

Does this mean that everyone who was at the top of the stack will now be put at the bottem somewhere else?

Im getting the feeling that I picked the absolute worse time to file for a K-3.. what a mess.

Sandy

i was wondering.... are all cases being transferred?

Mine, to my knowlege has not and hasnt been touched since september.

According to the press release, yes. The I-129F will be forwarded to the same service center that is adjudicating the I-130. Either the CSC or VSC.

The same thing happened to my cases. I sent the I-130 to the VCS. Once I got the receipt in the mail I sent off the I-129F to Chicago. After about a month I received notice that it had been transferred to the VSC. Having read the memo posted above, I can only assume the transfer occured becuase they are trying to process the cases faster so it went to VSC because thats where my I-130 is. It makes about as much sense as anything else our government does I suppose. Alas... we roll with the punches.

9/25/06 - Sent I-129F to Chicago Office

9/27/06 - NOA Petition Received

10/23/06 - Petition Sent to Vermont Service Center

11/06/06 - NOA Petion Received

11/09/06 - Touched

I-129F APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Same day as our I-130 11/18/06

12/06/06 - Consulate sent out packet 3.

12/27/06 - Packet 3 received (slow South African mail system)

1/11/07 - Sent in checklist to consulate

1/19/07 - Received call from consular officer notifying her of her interview date.

2/14/07 - Interview at consulate in Joburg. (fingers crossed)

2/14/07 - VISA APPROVED!!!!

Totals figures from NOA1 to interview date: 133 days or 3,192 hours or 191,520 minutes or 11,491,200 seconds
