We are getting the I-864 ready to send off. This is an exact extract from the instructions -

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is none, leave the space blank.

Did any of you do this and receive an RFE? I'm wondering if there is conflicting advice, as I have read to NOT leave any spaces blank as it can cause and RFE?

Many thanks!

Also, it doesn't say in the I-864a form to leave the spaces blank, so should we leave them blank like the I-864 or write NONE?

Also it states in the instructions that you must provide proof that the joint sponsor has the same principle residence as the sponsor. What would we use to prove this? Separate bank statements from my husband and his father stating the same postal address?

Any suggestions welcome!!

anybody know the difference between Petitioner and applicant?

hi, according to USCIS website, here are the definitions:

Petitioner - A person who files an immigration petition or application.

Beneficiary - An alien who is sponsored by a relative or a business, or has self-petitioned for an immigration benefit.

hope this helps.

YAY THEY ARE BUSY INVOICING US!!!! Does anyone know how long it takes for them to invoice you? We have gotten the "your case is in the process of termination" stuff on the invoice log in HURRAY!!!

Also how quickly can we send the AOS packet off? Can we do it straight away as soon as we have paid for the thing, and can print the barcode? Or do we have to wait till the money has left our account? Or do we have to wait till it shows PAID?

THANKS!!! :D

Hi guys,

Do you send photos together with DS-230 or just bring them to an interview?

Here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422214-nvc-filers-april-2013/ it is said that one should send them, but

from NVC page:

If you are applying for an immigrant visa, using either Form DS-230 or Form DS-260, you must provide two (2) identical photos at your immigrant visa interview. (http://travel.state.gov/visa/visaphotoreq/visaphotoreq_5334.html#immigrant)

Confusing!

Yes, send the photos together with your DS-230 and civil documents.

You also bring visa photos on the interview itself.
