First of all, I know it has to be my employer that applies for my h1b.

I am currently on OPT and would like to extend it after the one year period. Is h1b my best/only option, do I have any other options?

enroll in a phD program. one that pays yer tuition plus a stipend.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

is actually best you return to home, taking your new education and real-world training back with you to your home country, get a great job, and contribute inside of your country.

That's really what's expected out of you, on that F1 visa.

Good Luck !

Well I have a girlfriend here and enjoy working here. As I said I'm on OPT and I know I can't extend that, but what other work visas can I/my employer apply for?

That would be something for your Employer.

Or marry your GF.
