Hi all,

I called into USCIS today and talked to a tier one, asked if its (I-130)been looked at at all, she put me on hold and came back and said they are only doing july cases and I asked if it was still in MSC and she said it was in California:( I didnt get no update by email, and will they send it back to local office or sit there and mold?

I'm sorry, you have a case number? Does it start with MSC? Then it was initially routed to the National Benefits Center. After a month or two it will be routed to your local office (Chicago I presume?) There are still people from the beginning of the transfers to local offices that are awaiting approval by Chicago. I believe there is a thread in the progress sub-forum regarding Chicago I-130 transfers.

A tier 1, CSR, will not tell you any relevant information. You need to, at the very least, speak to a tier 2 ISO to find out any real information.

I never got any online update text or email on my case transfer. So, to find your answer, you really have to call USCIS, speak to T2 officer, ask relevant question. You may have to call couple of times to get right answer.

I called today and got a tier 2 ISO and he said it is still in Missouri at the NBC , NOT California.

Make sure he isn't just looking at the MSC and rattling off that line. You were told it was in California for a reason, what reason is it?

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Majority of the time they do not inform you of the transfer, but that was stated in the alert about the transfers. They most likely sent it to a local office, but we never called to find out.
