first of all, im so sorry if i post this question here in VJ. I know it's not visa related... But i am hoping to find someone who is in the same situation as mine :)

06/25/2008 : Met for the first time

07/25/2011 : Met for the 2nd time, HE PROPOSED!

04/06/2012 : Sent I29-F Package

04/09/2012 : NOA1 received

10/03/2012 : NOA2 (no RFE)

11/15/2012 : Med Exam @ St.Lukes (scar found on xray film)

11/19/2012 : start of my 3-day sputum exam

11/21/2012 : 3 smear result is negative but have to wait 2 months for culture and sensitivity test result

01/21/2013 : PASSED the med exam! smile.png

01/28/2013 : Interview at USEM(7:30AM)-- APPROVED

02/02/2013 : Visa on Hand

02/25/2013 : USA entry

03/12/2013 : Got Married, got SSN after 4 days

04/08/2013 : Filed/sent AOS, EAD, AP

04/22/2013 : NOA1 letter received with biometrics appontment

05/15/2013 : biometrics

06/25/2013 : received the EAD/AP combo card

You posted in the right forum so should not apologize. You could go ahead and state what your concerns are about the NCLEX as you never know the value of the info you will receive. People from all works of life and with various experiences are here.

I took the NCLEX 6 years ago but in NYC.

12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)

01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).

NCLEX is NCLEX, no matter where it is taken :)

Wrote back in 2009, good times!! Allnurse.com is a good forum--has a NCLEX forum. I did the Kaplan classes and they were fine! I think the classes themselves were sort of a waste--but I found their question bank very useful AND the Kaplan book you get with the course--it covers everything from A to Z!!! One can't buy that book at bookstores--but can usually find it on Ebay for cheap. here it is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-RN-Course-Book-Prep-for-NCLEX-RN-Exam-14th-Fourteenth-Edition-Kaplan-Nursing-/160993609007?pt=US_Texbook_Education&hash=item257bf7852f Well worth the $9!!! As well I had 1 or 2 other Q&A books!! For me the key was just doing question after question!

Kaplan also offers a complete online course, might be ok. Or one can just purchase the question bank! Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
