The same feast...fileted blackfish (Tautog) with chinese northern mushrooms and ham. the filets then served on top of the pan fried bones. This fish was caught on my vessel.

AHH all of that looks amazing! I'm really dying to travel some more. After my hubby gets the citizenship out of the way (obviously there's still a ways to go) we want to take a trip through Asia. He studies culinary arts and is stoked to eat his way through several countries. If it's anything like those pictures, I'm stoked.

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Best tip I figured out while traveling and eating exotic foods, don't ask what it is until after you've eaten it. There are so many great foods I've eaten only because I didn't know what it was before hand.

I don't have a picture and knees what it was before I ate it, but barbecue chicken intestines are great tasting street food in the Philipines. I didn't really care for chicken feet I ate at the same time. Too much work for one thing and its just fat and cartilage that you're eating mainly.

Definitely true! Hubby has given me many things, refused to tell me what it was until I tried it, and then laughed when I said I liked it. I don't think I'm a picky person but if someone were to tell me I was about to eat chicken intestines, I'd probably not do it. It's better to not know and let your tastebuds judge for you. :P

I can't do the chicken feet. I had my opportunity to try some in Thailand but passed. I think it has to do with the fact that my husband feeds the feet to his cats and I've got that visual stuck in my head

I am the petitioner.
