K1 Questions

Hi, Everyone-

My Fiance filed the K1 visa this month(February) and finally received the NOA1 last February 11th. But right now, Im bothering to some things because I'm already looking forward on the interview. So to begin with, after 1 year and 9 months of talking, my Fiance came here to visit me and his relatives for 19 days. On his visit we actually talked that were going to take the K1 visa route. So theres no such engagement party happened just merely both agreed about it. So when He came back to US we prepared all the things that we need, I mailed Him my G325A together with the Fiancee Letter of Intent with my signature on it. What bothers me right now is that *We dont have formal engagement party/ring yet and He just visited me once. Is this can be the possible reason for denial?

PLease help me. I know you're all very supportive and im asking your assistance/inputs regarding this.

I doubt its a reason for denial but my fiance was asked how I proposed to her during her interview. If you explain it this way it seems like an arrangement. I suggest using your female powers to request a formal proposal, even if it has to be over the internet. It may be a chance for a touching moment together

It's not a ground for denial if you did not have an engagement party or a ring.. As long as your relationship is legit and have all the proper documents then you're good..

Once is enough as long as it's within the 2years prior to filling the paperwork.

I am pretty sure there is more to your "non-proposal story" than what you are saying in this post. Here is my personal "non-proposal story"

My fiancé told me he wanted me to be his wife... But it wasn't a proposal, we agreed it was our non-proposal thing. It was the most beautiful night of my life. I smiled for so long it hurted. There was no ring, he didn't even think he would tell me that on that night, he just happened. It is not a fancy story but it was still magical. Then we agreed to send the papers, still no real proposal, and he proposed to me (with the ring, kneeling) months after that when he visited me.

I think it is ok that the proposal was not like in movies. Just say how it happened if they ask you. He must have said something that was romantic and make you smile at nigh? focus on this

You have nothing to worry about. The fact that you have signed a letter of intent is proof enough of your engagement and your willingness to marry. Proposing isn't about having something 'official' or fancy like an engagement party or getting down on one knee and popping the question with a ring, its about agreeing to spend the rest of your life with someone in marriage--something that is stated specifically in your letter of intent.

sis dont worry everything well be fine..my fiance and i we dont have engagement party but we are engaged on my suprize i really dont even know he well propose..so i think no problem....as long as you guys totoo yung relationship you dont need to worry ..good luck.... :thumbs: one time lng din sya ng punta d2 sa pinas..
