Hello all! I was just wondering if my fiancee has to fill out the DS-156/DS-156K and take them to her interview? Or does she merely fill them out AT the interview? (we just got out NOA2, and we have read about these forms, but we arent sure when theyre needed) I wanted to get everything squared away so the process goes as fast as possible.

Thanks!

Before. Check with your Embassy for specific requirements and forms.

All of the forms that require your input and other documents MUST BE completed and available before you go the Embassy. A few of them you fill out online and have to print immediately since the information can not be saved. The DS156, DS156K, I-134, your intent to marry letter from each of you with a current date, proof of ongoing relationship i.e. pictures, receipts of hotel stay, emails, airfare, also tax returns for the past 2 years at the least, 2-3 months worth of bank statements, letter from your current employer stating you are employed..

You do NOT need the DS230 that is for people that are already married.

The guide, flowchart, faq and samples available here on the visajourney site have that information.

The consulate will give you a checklist specifically saying how many copies they want of each document. Follow their instructions to the letter.
