how long does it take for the USCIS to give a notice that they recieved the petition? i also filled out the g-1145.? just excited that i stared the process. mailed it monday , delivered tuesday mid-day.

Expect to wait a week or two before you get notice.

That just has to do with the case status online, though. It's perfectly possible to get the physical copy of the NOA1 in the first couple of weeks.

I just received a notice via text and email yesterday 2/12/13. I mailed it to Texas on 2/6/13, and they are re-routing it now to a different center. Good luck!

Usually, the fastest thing is to check with your bank for when the check is cashed, that is your first indication.

I mailed mine 6 days prior to yours (yours arrived Mid day February 12th and mine arrived Mid day February 6th). I received my email notification on Monday 11th, so I'd expect you to receive yours likely Monday the 18th since 6 days would be Sunday. This could vary by a few days depending on the number of applications sent in between our dates, but it shouldn't be too much. Also, I have still not received the hard copy, but I expect to see it in the mail by the end of the week or early next week. Not that there's any rush, since now the real wait begins (likely between 5 and 8 months) Best of Luck to you!

Usually, the fastest thing is to check with your bank for when the check is cashed, that is your first indication.

With mine, the check cashing went through only 3-4 hours before I got the email, so you are right, it is a little faster, but sometimes not a lot. But you are right in the fact that the check cashing is a sure fire sign that it's accepted. I've heard that some people, for whatever reason don't get the email notification and just see the check cashed and wait for the hard copy in the mail Luckily I didn't have to go through that
