I'm entertaining this idea.

Can I come? I'll bring the pan of failed cookies I made yesterday that I was going to pack and ship to my husband. Nothing wrong with them... just that the chocolate topping didn't harden, so they're nice and gooey, but not shippable.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

I'm a terrible baker.

Thought I did make some successful sugar cookies a few months back.

I think it has to be 21 days since contacting USCIS about an issue. I was mulling over doing it if we didn't hear back about the expedite by Thursday, but I've kind of lost my will at this point. Also, I don't want to burn all my options if they end up messing it up even more. It is why I have yet to contact the Representative.

This might be a pointless question but what is the actual processing time associated with NBC and I-130 petitions? It's difficult to get an idea of when to use the Ombudsman without knowing when my case is "beyond USCIS processing time".

I'm assuming no one actually knows a definitive processing time with NBC because of the sporadic involvement of the local field offices. Oy, what a cluster....

I am the petitioner.

5 months is really the national avg time.

There is no definitive time with NBC/Field offices.

Congratulations :D

We were approved super fast as well (28 days for us), I was so happy! I didn't believe it at first cause we didn't expedite but my fiancé is on active duty with the US Air Force so maybe that's why.

Now the next stage for you! I have my interview next week and so far its taken us 105 days from NOA1 - Interview. I hope you are just as lucky :)

Hello everyone,

I just want to share this with y'all guys. This makes me feel im in a roller coaster ride -- i am in mixed emotion: happy, surprised, somewhat confused, but more in happy mode (lol) such a wonderful feeling.

My husband filed the petition for me in Dec. 23. The USCIS received it in Dec. 26, then After 5 days, he got an Acceptance Confirmation from the USCIS via email. Come January 4, we got the NOA1 in the mailbox. If you could just imagine how it made us smile and laugh from ear to ear - as we all know this starts the processing of the case.

Last night, i feel different.. I just feel something that i need to do but i couldnt explain it. I finally decided to check my online status and to my surprise, it says im on POST DECISION ACTIVITY -- means my case is approved!

We are on the real deal of getting the visa now. Oh my gosh! I just got too excited that i was not able to sleep. I waited for my husband to wake up and spill the beans as part of his breakfast. He couldnt even believe it. He had a healthy breakfast - mind, heart and body! Plus, he had his signature smile that i couldnt wipe out ..

Thank you VJ citizen for the utmost help. I will update you guys everytime theres a new pacing on my case.

God bless to all. And hopefully y'all get what you are waiting and hoping for.

CHEERS!

Congrats.Hope the rest of the proces is speedy too (F) (F) (F)
