Does it matter where you enter the USA? Can any airport be your port of entry?

I have a question regarding how much to bring, will it be a issue if my fiance bring 3500 us dollars will they give him a hard time as why he is bringing so much cash?

Good to know! We are about to get his tickets and I had some confusion on if he had to fly through NYC or something, heh.

Also, I think as long as what you bring values at or is under 10K then you don't have to declare it?

You can bring a million in cash if you want to, but you inform them of anything over $10,000. They only want a record of it. There is no tax or duty to pay. However, that is so risky to carry so much cash. Tell him to be very careful...pick pockets, scammers, thugs, etc.

We entered in Guam...US territory. Extremely easy...but the officer did ask if she was sure she wanted to marry me and not him...hahaha.

Travelers Cheques would better. Both Visa and American Express have $1000 and $500 denominations.
