Yellow Letter for More Passport Photos

Today I received a yellow letter telling me additional documentation is needed for my interview: 2 passport pics...

No big deal... but kind of curious as to what they did with the first set I sent... And as to what they do with all these pics since every card i've had from them in the past has used the biometrics picture.

Oh well hopefully i'll get a better shot this time!

Anyone else had this?

We didn't send in any pics nor did they ask for any at the interview.

Marie, i got one of those letters. They did lose my photos, so the new ones i brought to the interview were necessary. I even saw a "No photos" sign on my folder The officer said they must have fell out when documents were sorted.

Wife's certificate used our actual supplied photo held on with double side sticky tape with a USCIS stamp half on her face, other half on the certificate. Stepdaughter, two years later was also required to bring in our own photos, but they used the photo they took of her at biometrics printing it on non-photographic certificate paper with a cheap ink jet printer.

Both had to print on the left hand margin on the front of their photo with a ball point pen, their full name and alien number while the instructions state to print this information on the rear with light pencil.

Both had stamped signatures of the current director of the USCIS, I could never use a stamped signature on any legal document I had to sign.

But both certificates made it past the DMV, voters registration, the DOS, and SS. so who really cares. After this procedure, we buried their certificates.

I am actually planning on having a big fire set after my Oath ceremony this Friday and burn all those utility bills, letters and other stuff

Fire pit is already filled with pine cones, lol.

I have sooo much ####### left even from K1... Senators' letters, old applications, tons of "evidence", ugh!

Hopefully, no more uscis after that. My parents are moving to Canada and don't require my sponsorship.

I hear you,, now that I' m done, I actually sometimes go over all the paperwork, applications and letter I have gone thru with uscis.. Makes me smile to see the long road I had to take.. Oh we'll, they're off to the shredder tomorrow..

We also sent in pictures with entire N-400 package and when we got the interview appt. we took all the orig. that were sent in the package. I told hubby to get another set of pictures made before the interview and that was the only thing they were missing. his passports pictures were also lost but luckily we had another set to give them at the interview and all was well. Now just waiting on Oath Ceremony date.

I just had the same thing happen. Yellow letter for me asking for more pics, but yellow for my wife wasn't. I am 100% positive I sent pictures in and they were properly done, meticulously to state dept. standards. before sending I had looked for staples but never found them. I presume whoever opened my letter has a disgusting work space, as there's really no other reason they want new pics other than that they lost the earlier ones. Or maybe she (?) kept them for herself (!).

That's a bummer. Consider it to be a minor bump in the road, considering all other potential glitches.
