:D I am excited... I am dropping the big ole' envelope in the mail today.... One last quick question for you all....

1) is a Postal Service money order ok to use? (No checking account, has to be MO)

2) What's the best way you've found to send to service center? Overnight? Certified? Need receipt on other side to ensure it's delivery without getting lost? I'll just DIE if something happens to this package.

7/17/06..... Received email stating 'RFE' info rec'd. Should have answer soon. Yeah, right. :(

7/18/06..... TOUCHED AGAIN - JUST SEND MY DAMN NOA2 PUH-LEEEZE!

8/22/06..... After much discussion and tears and anguish, we end our relationship

8/23/06..... NOA2... Great timing, Feds. Kiss my a$$.

9/30/06..... Packet 3 arrives at Sean's parents in London

10/02/06... Sends paperwork back with necessary contents

10/17/06... Notice for further evidence arrives in mail

10/19/06... Evidence gathered, returned to embassy

12/05/06... Notice arrives, interview date 12/21/06

I am sure that you can use a money order... but I am not sure if you can track it once it is cashed...

I used an attorney, and she sent the package by ups next day air... and requested a signature so that she would know that it was rec'd....

Good luck to you. My fiance (Columbus OHIO) and I (Leicester, UK) sent our K1 on monday 27th Feb to Nebraska, so I could say I am in the same boat as you. I believe he actually sent it certified mail (I think) but he was wondering how we would get a signature when the mailing address was to a PO Box?? I guess we shall see how soon we get NOA. As to the money , umm i dont know what my baby did in the end - he was thinking about getting a money order so until i speak to him tonight i wont know.

2 March 2006: NOA1 dated (received in mail on 9 March 2006)

4 May 2006: NOA2!!!!! (DAY 66)

8 May 2006: File Sent to NVC (as stated on email dated 9 May)

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives

Some people have had problems with certificated packages because somebody has to sign for them. So I wouldn't recommend that or else you'll get a pass the parcel game going on .....

I'd phone up about the money order to see if its accepted.

It is okay to use certified mail for someone to sign, although yes, the package could potentially be delayed, but I don't think by much. I used certified mail with a return receipt. I sent mine to Vermont, which is also a P.O. Box, and what happens is that someone comes to pick up the mail and they will sign for the package. It will set your mind at ease, so I recommend using it if you would like the assurance.

I used USPS Express certified mail where I was able to see who signed the mail on other end. Also used personal check so I can see when the check was cleared.

Money orders are fine. We used these for our AOS.

Anything I send to the Gov't, I send it so I can track it and have it signed for. :yes:

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

We used money orders for our AOS too, we couldn't track them but they were fine.

We sent our petition USPS priority with tracking, we didn't look for a return receipt...but I'd agree with pink_roses' motto!!

03.04.2009......Ordered Police Certificate for Visa Purposes from Local Garda Office (ordered over the phone)

03.05.2009......I-130 received at Embassy

03.06.2009......Received Police Cert

03.18.2009......I-130 Approved

09.10.2009......Medical Exam

09.23.2009......Embassy receives Notice of Readiness

10.13.2009......Received our interview date

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

11.5.2009........Visa received in post

11.7.2009........All the family flew to the US together :)

12.20.2009......Received Welcome to America letter

12.24.2009......10 year Greencard received in the mail

USPS express overnight! Check would be better because you could get receipt number from the back of the cancelled check but money order next best thing. Congratulations on sending the petition. :thumbs:

Thanks all... and to reiterate... I have to use a Money Order, unfortunately :( No checking account!

But, I think it should be ok. I was really more worried about the best way to send it in... Oh god, I can't believe its REALLY happening, finally!!! I just can't wait to be with him permanently. He came last week for a holiday, and it was such a dream come true for both of us, and just solidified the fact that we can't bear to be apart.... I don't think I've ever said such a hard good-bye in my life!!! lol

Thank you again for your opinions, advice, etc.... How do I make one of those ticker deals? :dance:

click on my ticker and it will take you to tickertag.com where you can make one I have 3 designs I made on page 18, they are by BJ..that was after I used someone elses..lol
