Hi Visa Journey members! My name is Richelle. I have a question with regards to affidavit of support. I am under k1 route. My fiance works as full time press operator since 1989. I have with me now an original signed form i-134, w-2 wage and tax statement form, his bank statement showing his current deposit savings, and certificate of employment. I don't have his form 1040 because the original was submitted at the NVC during i-129f submission Are those documents enough for my USEM Manila interview on January 16, 2013 even if I don't have his form 1040? His annual income is 65,000 a year, bank deposit is 21,000, other personal property with reasonable value of 12,000 and life insurance in the sum of 250,000 with a cash surrender value of 250,000. He does'nt have anyone that is wholly or partially dependent upon him for support. Please help me with this. What can we do? My interview is on january 16. I'm getting nervous. Thank you.

Regards,

Rich

It's required as one of the evidence of support.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at

You might get 221g and will ask you to acquire it before they'll give your visa and that will cause some delay.

Have your fiance acquire a copy now and he should get it within a week. Once received, email you a copy of it and then you'll send it to 2Go to deliver it to USEM.

To order online, click here: https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof-tra/start.do

Good luck!

I am really confused as to why his 1040 would have been sent to the NVC for the I-129F petition. Nothing gets sent to the NVC for an I-129F. Taxes/financials are not required until the K-1 visa interview.

Also, always send copies of documents and do not give away your originals.

*** Duplicate thread removed. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi TinTin and Mike!

Maraming salamat for your reply. do u have any idea how long does it takes if he ordered his transcript online? it will be delivered to him via snail mail, right? my interview is already on January 16. I already informed my fiance regarding that option. Our plan B is to order that transcript and reschedule the interview.

Plan A is he will ask his accountant if he has the file of his income tax and email it to me. I just hope that his accountant has a copy of his 1040 EZ coz that's the same accountant doing his taxes for more than 20 years now. Hopefully, there's a copy so I won't have to reschedule my interview.

Ayy..

Hello! thank you for your reply. We were confused before regarding the forms. So what he did is he attached all the forms in the envelope when he sent the I-129F. We now have a Plan A and Plan B. Hopefully everything will be okay before January 16 which is already my interview date.

Again, thank you and God bless you.
