When u put in the request were you put on the transfer. Did a senator do the transfer

I contacted our senator at the beginning of July and she did nothing for me. She sent a letter to Djibouti asking for info about our case and after a month she still didn't hear anything back from them. It was really frustrating. I don't think she did anything to help our case.

I recieved my first respond on June 3 that my case will transfer but the nvc said it wasn't put on the list until June 24

You requested the case threw ivyemen

I sent my request to the US Embassy in Djibouti on June 14th and got the email from that our case would be requested within 3 days, but it wasn't. So I emailed IVYemen and got a response from them on June 22nd, so I think that's when we were put on the transfer. Technically it only took six weeks for our case to be transferred since June 22nd, but I was counting since June 14th when I said seven weeks.

Sometimes when I would ask the NVC about the list, they had no idea what I was talking about, they didn't know what the transfer list was. But I think we were put on there somewhere on June 22nd.

salaam everyone,

When you guys sent transfer request to ivyemen, do you get auto response or no? how do you know if they got it? i tried calling nvc and they kept telling me they have no way of o knowing whether it's recieved or not, but they respond to messages in order of what is received.

also, has anyone transferred cases to Malayasia or know someone that did? how fast did it get there? how's living there? it is cheap?

Alaikum alsalam. Yes, when I sent the request to IVYemen, they sent me an auto response "your case will be transferred to Djibouti." Every time I emailed them, they send the same thing. When I call the NVC, they can see all the emails I got from IVYemen on their computers, so they know that the first reply I got was from June 22nd and that's when the request was put in.

What do you mean "how do you know they got it?" What did you call NVC to ask?

My case was ready for interview in Cairo. I was working on the the Egyptian visa when suddenly the case was transferred to Djibouti without letting us know. when i called the NVC, they said this is because a lot of applicants from Yemen were not able to go to Egypt so they are transferring cases to other posts.
