HELP!!! Can't find a Dr. to Transcribe!!!

Hello!

We can't find a doctor to transcribe our vaccinations. We live in San Diego. She has all her vaccinations (done at her doctors office in California) and since she just got the physical in October for the K-1 she doesn't need the physical.

Anybody know where I can go? I've called about 15 doctors and no help.

Did you call docs on the USCIS civil surgeon list?

I've called most of them in the San Diego area.... they all want $150 or more to do the transcribe. We just had our baby 10 weeks early (she's premature) and we need the money for medical stuff and baby supplies. I find $150 to verify a few vaccinations absurd.

Alas, the thread of all threads! :thumbs: It literally saved me $300.

Found one on my own that was charging me between $150-315. Another VJ member passed this thread on to me, went to one that was recommended on there and was charged $25. :yes:

There's 22 pages of civil surgeons across the country. Look through it to find one in San Diego!

Believe it or not, there is not one listed for San Diego. Closest is LA and the cost of going to LA for me would be about $80 in my 10 mpg truck :(

Yeah will do Jay-Kay, I'm telling you, I called about 25 of them in the San Diego area and they are all rats for the most part. They want $120 - $190 regardless of if you need the physical or not.... a few of them were willing to go down to $100 and the lowest I found was $80. Tomorrow I'll call and see about this doctor.

Yep, a lot of them try and rip off immigrants, big time. USCIS gives them free reign to charge what they please, and so they do. There needs to be a better system in place regarding K-1 visas and the medical/vaccination requirements.

I called today and talked to the doctor directly (I think). She told me $30 if just getting vaccinations transcribed, but we are stupid for spending $70 for the MMR as we could've just went to the Health Department of San Diego and gotten a $10 vaccine for the MMR. DOH! I spent $70.

We spend total of $80, $30 for flu shots at Vons (which should have been given to him in Manila as he got his medical during flu season already but didn't) Also since I'm working during the day we couldn't make it on time for $10 shots at the Health Dept in Escondido. Oh well, we got the I-693 signed off so that's all the matters
