Hey there...

I finally, FINALLY sent out my AOS package. I first wanted to sent it 2 weeks ago, but due to the holidays I was told it's better to wait until the new year. So here I am... anybody else?

CoS from J1 to F1 now AoS

Day 00 - 01/02/2013 sent AOS package via USPS

Day 02 - 01/04/2013 package arrived in the am *patiently waiting for more*

Day 05 - 01/07/2013 received text messages for all 4 forms

Day 06 - 01/08/2013 checks been cashed

Day 08 - 01/10/2013 received NOAs for all four forms

Day 12 - 01/14/2013 received appointment letter for biometrics on 02/01/2013 but completed biometrics the same day

Day 27 - 01/29/2013 received email that our case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview :)

Day 29 - 01/31/2013 received an email that our Interview will be on March 6 2013!!!!!!!!!

Day 33 - 02/04/2013 received hardcopy of interview letter

Day 62 - 03/05/2013 EAD/AP approved

Day 63 - 03/06/2013 scheduled interview appointment - APPROVED

Day 66 - 03/09/2013 I130 & I485 Approval noitces arrived in the mail

Day 70 - 03/13/2013 EAD/ AP combo card arrives in the mail

Day 71 - 03/14/2013 Greencard arrives yay!!!

I-131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT Confirmation Email 01/07/2013 (Day 10)
I-765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION Confirmation Email 01/07/2013 (Day 10)
Both check cashed 01/07/2013 (Day 10)

We just sent ours today and can finally begin to clean up all the papers strewn about the place. It was a great feeling though.

F-1 ---> AOS

12-22-2012 - Wedding day

12-31-2012 - Obtained certified copy of marriage license from court house

01-04-2013 - Sent AOS and EAD package at 5:34pm

01-05-2013 - Arrived at Chicago Lockbox at 11:27 am but no authorized recipient available. Notice left.

01-06-2013 - USCIS Received package at 10:08 pm

01-08-2013 - Received Acceptance texts and emails from USCIS at 10:46 pm

01-09-2013 - Checks cashed

01-12-2013 - Received hard copies of NOA's

01-14-2013 - Received Biometrics appointment letter

01-31-2013 - Biometrics successfully completed

02-11-2013 - Additional biometrics requested

02-22-2013 - Biometrics successfully completed

03-08-2013 - Received EAD card

Jan 4: receipt notices

Jan 7: Checks cashed

Feb 4: 1st biometrics appointment- attempted 2 unsuccessful early walk-ins. 2nd time told that hubby needed an unexpired passport. Rescheduled biometrics

Mar 14: biometrics completed. EAD card production ordered same day

Mar 19: ready for interview scheduling

Yes, I just hope we will get an email soon, or even the NOAs... I also don't want any RFE again (I got one when I filed cos back in 2011)...I know I have submitted everything and more but there is this weird feeling that I forgot something.

Lets just all hope neither one of us gets it :thumbs:

Woo-hoo! We received a text message and an acceptance email from the USCIS with the receipt number at 10:46pm today!

We just received our NOAs (hardcopies). I so cannot wait for the biometrics appointment, been home and without an occupation for 3 weeks now and I am BORED and grounded :lol: ... I want to get my EAD so I can work and get a Driver's license...

Just curious, why do you have to wait for your EAD to get a Driver's License?

Just curious, why do you have to wait for your EAD to get a Driver's License?

I have a valid VA state license, however, California law only allows me to drive here with an out-of-state license for like 15 days. I am adjusting from F1, so my legal paperwork still says VA, and the DMV here in CA needs something like the EAD or Greencard to issue me a new DL...
