USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).

We have been approved omg!!! I'm still in shock how smooth this went!!! Oh pple stop making this look so hard cos it's not!!! But I must admit d scary part is waiting for ur no to be called! Oh my husband and I are overjoyed! Without God it wudnt have bn possible.Thanx VJ family for all ur prayers and help...we love y'all!!!!!Il put up the questions I was asked in my timeline later on.GOODLUCK to those going for their interview soon and be confident! Congratulations for your approval ! Very happy for you that it was not hard for you personally but I very much disagree with the part I bolded.

It has been hell on earth for many of us and hard is an understatement.

Too many cases still get returned and denied or stay in the AP abyss for over a year.

In sensitivity to those petitioners and applicants please don't say we are making it look hard.

It is a reality not a myth.

AOS send : May 12, 2015, received May 14, 2015 USPS priority

Email &text : May 18, 2015, check cashed May 19,2015, return receipt May 21, 2015 stamped USCIS Lockbox, NOA1 (3x) May 22,2015

Biometrics : June 1, 2015 letter received for appointment June 8, 2015, successful walk-in June 1, 2015

RFE : June 12, 2015 for income not meeting guideline. Income does ( ! ) exceed guideline.

RFE response : June 26, 2015 returned with a boat load full of financial evidence.

UPDATE: July 5, 2015 updated on all 3 cases, RFE received June 30, 2015.

Service request : Aug 12, 2015, letter received that it will be processed within 90 days from receipt of RFE.

UPDATE: Aug 24, 2015, EAD card being produced/ordered. ( 102 days from AOS receipt day and 55 days from RFE response received.) Thank you Jesus !

Emails : Aug 24, 2015, EAD approved, EAD card ordered.

I-797 EAD/AP approval notice received : Aug 27, 2015

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

I agree with Ebunoluwa. Congratulations for your approval. NONE of us who are still in the black hole would wish it upon any other human being. Many of us in this VJ have had nothing but heartache and disappointments or still waiting for the USCIS or NVC mercy.

Yes, one must be grateful for their accomplishments, if they made it through this visa journey smoothly. It is unnecessary to have disregard to those who are struggling. Just because one case sails smoothly through it is not an indication that other cases are fraud or scams or brought on by the petitioner or the beneficiary. It just is.....

I rejoice with your outcome. I continue to pray for those who are still in the journey. Take care.

IMHO ErinO did not believe the easy interview she got after reading some horrible experiences about others who had been there before? Still, she was grateful to all... I still admit success are realized from those horrible/palatable stories we all see on vj. My heart bleed for all of you who have had one challenge or the other down to line. You'll all laugh after. Peace!

...But altimate success comes from God and God alone!
