I-130 been 5 months still nothing

Your case/petition is not in NVC yet. You call the USCIS where your petition is currently being processed.

I was just asking in behalf of one member here. I am not sure what to tell her.

filed petition I-130 at USCIS July 12,2012

Received first notice at USCIS July 24,2012

Approved petition at USCIS and send application at NVC OCT. 03,2012

Paid AOS FEE OCT 23,2012

Received the DS-3032 form from NVC Dec.13,2012 and signed send it BACK in the same day to NVC.

NVC received my signed DS-3032 FORM DEC.17,2012.

and now we are waiting for I-864 package. no response yet from NVC ...hays.....waiting be patient and prayers....GOD

you dont need to wait for I-864 package just download it and fill it up to make sure call the NVC

Finally, the petition was approved as of Jan 17. Thank you guys. Now any advice on what I can prepare? As of now I'm still waiting for the mail with instructions to come.

You will wait for some time, if you wish to 'go postal' with NVC to send you things.

Instead, you could shift into 'go fast' mode, by following the LingChe shortcuts in the wiki here.

Sure, it's primarily for spousal visas, but the steps and intake and payments are the same for a visa for a parent, there's one or two extra docs that must be submitted to NVC with the DS-230.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ok done as of now my daughter (the petitioner)is on going completion of I-864 FOR joint sponsor her I-864 is already done how i wish to complete the docs asap,then we will proceed to visa payment costing to 230usd time to relax..wait and see...i'll keep you posted..thank you very much let it be your the man...godbless us all...
