hearing voices!! Do you use Onesuite? Do you hear them too?

Every time my husband or I connect via the Onesuite long distance, we hear really weird parts of other people's conversations.

It is always in another language. I have tried to record it but by the time I push record it is gone. Sometimes it is so dang funny we just giggle.

We just wanted to know if we're losing our minds or if anyone out there using onesuite "hears things" too.

I am also getting quite a bit of feedback and crossed calls on onesuite..

I thought they were awsome. now in the last say 10 days. 75% of the calls in order to get it to connect i have to dial over and over.. then when it rings. i get strange calls sounds. or it rings.. and my love states he never received my call even after i let it ring again and agan.

Tried to call from my mobile.. got international dial special price.. verizon.. (still not as cheep as phone card)

Got similar sounds.. began thinking it was phone connection in the receiving end..

but then . last night i used CTA card.. and not a problem.. clear as it has always been.. grrrr. then tried to call him two hours later to say good night.. (onesuite and verizon) and .. we did the hello.. hello hellooooo can you hear me.. dance..

go figure.. .. so i think im back to .. CTAcards.. think i have enough phone records anyhow from onesuite... to satisfy the pope.. ha ha hah a

however .. i did call Verizon.. tech support they are looking into it on their end.. now will also call onesuite and let them know of the dissatisfaction

My husband and I use Onesuite as well. Every now and then we do hear voices. And yes it is in a foreign language! We usually end up just hanging up and dialing again.

We also get quite a bit of feedback which could be distracting.

We had that and we called our phone company. A guy came round and of course there were no voices when he was here. BUT, he did have the very good advice of changing the channels on your phone -- you don't need to hang up to do this either. Since then there have been no problems. The convos we hear are always between two air hostesses moaning about their kids. It's quite amusing sometimes

changing channels? wah?

The voices are always right at the beginning of initiating the call and are never in english. Like I said sometimes they are funny, even though I have no idea what they're saying... We usually hangup and dial right back. We also get a serious echo sometimes (like you hear your own voice talking back to you, very irritating AND shocking cuz you have to hear what you sound like on the phone LOL) I do not get this if I dial him directly with my more expensive long distance.

I used "Onesuite" a couple of times but switched to "GlobalPhone" only because I benefit from discount rates with them through my bank. I don't recall "hearing voices" with Onesuite, but this happens with GlobalPhone and other companies as well. It most likely has to do with problems in satellite communication(s). Just like you can hear "echoes" at times, you can hear "voices" at times too. There are many different wireless and long distance telephone companies in the US, but only a few carriers who "rent" their lines to others.

Which country are you calling? If you want a better connection and pay less you may want to try using a messenger service i.e. MSN Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger. Better sound quality.

As of last night.. direct phone line no problem.. mobile phone connection with verizon.. to India a problem.. I contacted them .. and am now tracking the frequency.. .. by doing a *** send and this sends teh error to the company ... I also tried once again using my Onesuite account.. .. echo.. echo.. static.. ring ring ring.. no answer... .. so i tried my CTAcard. world card... and ring .. hello.. no echo no static no strange voices.. I asked my love if he heard the phone ring just minutes before he said nooo he was waiting for my call... and was getting concerned cause i was late.. ha ah a. .. .so that proved to me that the calls i tried moments before via.. onesuite.. didnt even get to his phone.. correctly or otherwise..

I have sent a email to onesuite outlining my troubles. and this is the response so far....

"Dear Customer,

We received your message.

We will reply to your e-mail in 24 to 48 hours.

Thank you,

Maybe you can try Global Phone, which I am currently using and have no problem with.

I have a spending limit of $100 per month, but this amount can be increased or decreased if you request it. Unlike other phone cards, you can keep the same account # and PIN #. I receive a monthly statement with the details of my calls every beginning of the month.

You can also use the phonecard from overseas to call the US, in many countries where GlobalPhone has a toll free #. I tried it in France, England and Switerzland and it worked perfectly.

tee hee.

I set up a new long distance with tel3advantage, got 280 mins free, it was VERY clear last night, and I was able to give G a local access number, plus a speed dial code so he was very happy that he didn't have to punch in tons of #s to get to me, just a local # and two digit speed dial code.

It is cheaper than onesuite to canada and they also have the online tracking history for future use printing out proof of talking with the loved one.

We use onesuite regularly and never had this problem. When I was in high school I remember being at a friend's house, and his brother was on the phone with his girlfriend. Well somehow they had this recurring problem that their lines were crossed with this other conversation. In this case all parties could hear and talk to each other! The crazyiest part was that I knew the other people that were on the crossed line!

For us onesuite is the best deal going, though the connection is not always the clearest.
