Has anyone else been told that the cost of the biometrics will not only be the fee but also cost for tests that will be run at the time of the exam? I've been told it will not just the the $80 fee but also several hundred dollars for the tests that will be run at the exam.....I'm kinda freaking out.

Please help

The $85 biometric fee is included with the I-485 form fee of $985 for a total of $1070. There is no exam for biometrics. All they do is take your picture and fingerprints. Depending on what visa you are adjusting status from, you may need a medical exam. That is not the same as biometrics. You would need to find a civil surgeon to give you the medical exam, required vaccinations, and fill out the I-693 for you. Call around several civil surgeons to find the best price. It costs $150+ for just the medical exam without added vaccination costs.

Biometrics is not a medical. its just a photo and fingerprints (as well as filling out a form).

Yes a medical can be expensive.
