Hey guys just wanted to ask all my fellow military fiances and wives how they managed to get through the whole process of the K1 visa plus an impending wedding with no set dates etc lol. Also my loved one is also currently on deployment and we have just filed last week! Feeling extremely overwhelmed!!! We are hardly in contact just via email and sometimes Facebook when he can access it.

Also we only saw each other once since 2010 because of financial situations etc but we have been together since 2006 when we both lived in the U.K hopefully that won't pose issues at the interview stage? Seeing as some couples have flown back and forth many times. STRESS STRESS STRESS lol im sure someone out there can relate!

Thanks for ur help :help: :help: :help: :help: :crying::unsure::blush:

how do you get through it? not much choice really, keeping in contact, keeping busy. Not planning the wedding till you have better dates, I see some people have the various components of their wedding booked with flexible dates agreed with their contracts.

not seeing each other since 2010 won't present a problem, as long as you did meet the requirements of the visa when you applied, which was to have met in person at least once in the preceding 2 years of filing the petition.

We just chose to not have a big fancy wedding. No other way around it for us.not having a wedding to worry about did allow me to be more relaxed and not worry about extra unnecessary things tho.
