EAD confirmation?

Hi Everyone,

I filled for the AOS, EAD AND AP for myself and my son.

We got 6 text messages and emails (3 each) and received confirmation in the post, BUT only for the AOS and AP. We also received our appointments for biometrics for the 6th Dec.

The notification for AOS and AP has a priority date of the 30th October, Notice date of 10th Novemeber and was posted on Nov 13th (I think we received it on the 19th Nov)

I'm getting a bit worried that we haven't received written confirmation of the EAD. It's now been another 7 working days.

Is there a back-log?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I would suggest that you give it a couple more days, due to the holiday last week.

Does your biometrics letter have 2 case numbers on it? They usually do the biometrics for the I-485 and I-765 at the same time. AP does not require biometrics.

My biometrics letter does have the two case numbers on it, I485 and I765. Does this mean they are processing my EAD aswell? What should I do if the EAD confirmation doesn't come in the mail?

Do not worry. Go to the Bio appointment--the case numbers are for the AOS and EAD card. Wait. We never received a confirmation for the EAD and the combo card showed up about 2 weeks after the Bio appointment--that was when things were moving a bit faster.

You do not need the confirmation. The biometrics letter has both case numbers on it so you can be sure they received it and are processing it. The receipt notice was for your records and is not required for anything else. Just take note of your case numbers by making a copy of your biometrics letter to keep in your own files.
