Hello everyone,

I've filled out a I130 Immigrant petition for relative, fiance, or orphan. I've filled this one for my wife since I'm trying to bring her to the US. I think i made a mistake when i filled out the form with my lawyer. I think the lawyer entered sep. 4th instead of sep. 10 for our date of marriage. I'm worried if this might cause problems to my wife's visa. Can someone please let me know what to do? How can i check if the information is correct, and what can i do if its wrong?

Please help me!

Thanks a lot

Are you a US citizen or greencard holder?

If the lawyer did indeed put the wrong marriage date, you will likely get an RFE and can explain then.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

** Moving from Bringing Family to CR-1 spousal visa forum ****

A RFE is a Request For Evidence, ie they want more info/ clarification on an issue. It is possible though unlikely they will not catch it, in which case I would send a corrected I-130 with an explanation letter at NVC stage. Does youe lawyer not have acopy so you can check whether a mistake was indeed made?

I'll call my lawyer tomorrow and tell him about this. I didn't call last week because he was off. I have one more question, I think its a little bit awkward that they sent the application to Lee's summit USCIS office instead the normal offices such as the one in Nebraska. My lawyer was surprised when i showed him the letter that says they transferred my application to that address.

Thanks a lot and appreciate your help. to be honest i was worried for while :)

Call USCIS customer care number and follow the prompt that will key in to correct an error made. Then speak with the customer care agent to change the error. I made an error on my form by putting my husband's place of origin as mine. They will instruct you on what you need to do.

No biggie. Good luck!
