October 25 I mailed a single packet with two I-130's all requested document for each application along with two checks. One for each application. These are for my wife's children. Since then I have only received one MSC receipt number and the USICS has only cashed one check.

Is this normal or is something abnormal ??

Thanks

My hubby mailed 2 I-130's (wife&child) w/ 2 separate checks and placed in the same envelope last August2012. We received 2 separate NOA1's at the same time and each w/ 2 different case numbers. Both cases are always updated at the same time. Maybe you should call USCIS ASAP.

There are lots of people who have submitted multiple applications in on envelope including myself and received the same number of responses (NOA1) to their applications. What might have been missing in yours is a cover letter explaining what those papers are. I hope you didn't staple them together as one, but kept them separate. I am sure that when someone's reviewing your paperwork, they'd notice that there were actually more than one petition in that envelope.

Agree, my hubby included a cover letter explaining that there are 2 separate petitions, not stapled together but we used paper clips (as suggested by VJ) to separate one I-130 petition w/ supporting docs from the other.
