You can attend for interview anywhere you are legally resident (a tourist visa would not do).

so do they consider the study permit/visa for canada a residency or residency basicly mean a perminant residency ?

and do you know about the procedures because as we know the USCIS send the file to the visa center that forwards it to the embassy in the benefeciery country , so how will the embassy in cairo send the paper to anothe US embassy in 3rd country ?

A valid student visa for Canada makes you a resident there, however, I'll be honest, I don't know WHY you would want to do all of that. Is the visa already in your hands? Are you leaving next month to go to canada?

It just seems crazy to me to move to canada and start going to school, then you end up with a visa to the US and you're not even done with your semester in canada.

well i want to continue my studies and i found good school in canada that i can take some credits from and transfer to the USA if i wanted to do that in future as i am not eligable to renew my student visa to the usa as i got married to a USC and in the same time i am not sure when am i gonna be granted the US visa. the process seems to be very uncertain . so i am thinking to do some education even one semester . we havnt applied yet for the I130 so that adds to the wait tome 3- 8 months .

thank you guys for the answers you are the BEST

It would be helpful if you would actually read and comprehend a post before responding. The OP indicated his wife was going to file an I-130, so no visa yet.

To the OP, if you move to Canada after to the petition is filed, it will need to be re-routed to Montreal when it is at the National Visa Center. That's pretty easy to do. If you plan to stay in Canada for a couple years, it would probably be wise to wait to file the I-130 petition until AFTER you have an address in Canada. How soon will you begin your studies in Canada?

And if you read what I was replying to, you'd have seen that I was referring to her CANADIAN STUDENT VISA

o do they consider the study permit/visa for canada a residency or residency basicly mean a perminant residency ?

It would be helpful and less rude if you would stop trying to constantly correct me.
