Really? So no state has ever proposed secession unless there was a black president? It's rather shallow thinking to bring in the race card when people have expressed their discontent with the president's political thinking and motivation for the past 4 years. I mean, I hope his supporters do at least see him on a deeper level and not think they are the only ones that do. I found his first election to be a historical milestone for this country indeed, but his race doesn't make him the best or worst there ever was.

I doubt it. Back then, real Americans, who had voted for Bush, would comment on the upside down flag and would engage in civil political discourse with other real Americans, like me who disagreed with some of his policies. When you look around in the real world, you realize that we are all Americans pure and simple.
