Who cares what Kerry said anyway?

Actions are more important than words -- Bush was the one who put the troops

in harm's way to fight a bullshit war against no-one in particular.

you're right. we should have sent ted kennedy's car over there, since it killed more people than bush did in the military.

How many lives did Bush save while in the military besides himself by staying stateside?

Ah, yes... and Gore's flawed character, and Bill Clinton's and Jimmy Carter's and Hillary Clinton...and on and on and on. Yes, the Democratic Party is made up of elitists who care nothing about this country....wahhhhhhhhhh.

If you really wanted to comiserate with sore-loser-plagiarist (too similar a style between "Earth in the Balance" with Farley Mowat's "Never Cry Wolf" and "Curse of the Viking Grave") grandiose-delusional-claim ("inventing the internet"--remember that) Gore, why'd ya start this thread in the first place?

Why do the labels stick to one side of the political fence (Kerry's an elitist, but Bush isn't, Kerry's a flip-flopper, but Bush isn't...and so and so on)? Not much credibility with inconsistency.

Not much credibility with inconsistency.

and now you know why kerry failed

Hey, guess what? On that we agree, Charles. However, it has been proven in this thread (hence the title) that Bush is as inconsistent as with all politicians. They all speak out of both corners of their mouths.

Probably a lot.

It's funny so much time and attention is being spent on Kerry when he isn't up for re-election. I think focussing too much on what he said is harmful - it isn't going to change the fact the October was the deadliest month in Iraq so far or that every are the National Intelligence Estimate on global terrorism trends said invading Iraq has been counterproductive (which was the consensus opinion of 16 government agencies, including the CIA, FBI, State Department and all four branches of the armed forces, not just John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi)

However, YOU have been CONSISTENT in translating the ABSENCE of saying "Bush is elitist flip-flopper" as "Bush is neither elitist nor flip flopper"--and screaming it bloody-murder.

Steven and Jinky, I'd like to apologize for responding out of feelings instead of being reasonable and provide a counter to a good argument. I believe someone already posted some of Kerry's remarks so, I won't spend the time looking to add more or repeat those posted. As far as being patriotic by protesting "any war" regardless of if the war is justified or not. Just plain protesting a war...I think is a patriotic person. The person obviously cares enough about the country to say something. However, it's all in how a person protests the war...Regardless of how someone feels about the war, I feel that the military should be left alone by both sides, other than oversight, because things do happen in a war. Most military service men and women will say, "Those are the rights that I'm fighting for!!" For those people who are against any war to protest the war. Again, to me, it's all in how someone protests any war.

First of all, I never said anything about being unpatriotic or any thing of the sort. So, I don't know where the hell you are coming from. Secondly, Kerry has repeatedly disrespected the military, even when he was serving. He even wrote up his own damn awards, so don't give me any ####### about his service. If you've ever served in this countries military, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that anyone who writes there own awards, of course, is gonna walk on water. Thirdly, saying that our military is stupid, IS BASHING THE MILITARY....What part of that do you not understand????? His words!!!!!! Intentions be damned, he said it and he admits that he won't apologize for that......And if I'm full of ideological B.S. then so be it, I've given my freedom for that Jackass to spew his hate and for you to call me an Ideological idiot because I served. I was merely stating my opinion and limited knowledge of his recent statements about our troops today and Kerry's elitest attitude toward the world.

Can you post me a link or a quote of Kerry where you believe he is clearly bashing the military?

I didn't call you any name. I'm saying that the argument which is made by many Bush supporters, that if you don't support the President, you are unpatriotic, anti-American, and you're bashing the troops - that is ideological BS. If you don't aspire to that notion, then it doesn't apply to you.

Let me ask you this..

Can a person justifiably protest a war? What would you call them? It seems that labels get used for everything under the sun these days.

Clinton hasn't been in office for almost 6 years and there is still quite a lot of radio time dedicated to him. Why should we leave Kerry alone?

Thank you. I'll just say this - Bush has said many things that I could draw conclusions and label him for it, but I don't see how throwing labels around is helping us deal with the real issues. Labels, IMO, are just meaningless distractions. :star:

I agree that name calling and labels distract from any issue. I have to say that all the political ####### flying these days makes me sick...I just get angry and frustrated with all the lunacy flying from both sides...Don't the polliticians know that "I am" the most important issue the campaign....jeeezzzz!!!! :jest:
