I have the same PD at the same service center and I'm still waiting. So far I've contact the customer help line, got a service request done with led to no results. I've also contacted my senator and my senator said my file is with an officer and should be reviewed in 30 days (this was yesterday).

I guess you should call the customer help line and contact your congressperson and or senator.

if you look at the numbers, VSC has over 50,000 130 petitions filed. This is a lot compared to their numbers same time last year, so this has an effect of their processing time. However, they are still reporting 5 months processing time for 130s for spouse as of 9/30. At 9/30 we're all beyond our 5 months processing time.

Thanks very much! I have gotten a Service Request (I got it yesterday). I was thinking about contacting my Representative. Which is better? Senator or Rep?

I would say start with your rep. and move up. I started from my congressman, got no help (no response from his office). Then moved to senator 1, no help (no response from his office). Then finally senator 2 helped me. I did emails, as I am too lazy to call, lol.

Excatly! If they are swamped and can't process them on time why are they showing 5 months! They should update their website! So you don't think my delay has anything to do with the country of my (and my wife's) origin?

Have you tried contacting your Representative/Senator?

Salam Reza ;)

1) That "5 months processing time" is just a number to keep their bosses happy, it has no absolute meaning for us !

2) This has nothing to do with your wife's country...this is the same processing time for everyone :( I know how frustrating and devastating this long journey can be, but don't worry ;) As other members indicated, this is just because of the backlog VSC has this year:( Hopefully, your case will be approved before Christmas and next thing you know, your wonderful wife will join you

Our case is K1, but you can send me a message if you need any help in this process ;)

P.S: don't forget to create your timeline so that other members can assist you better ;)

At this point I've just surrendered everything to God.

Salam Soheil,

Thanks very much for your help and encouragement! You were smart to go with K1. We considered K1 but decided to get married first and then deal with immigration. I will be in touch!
