Question 16 on I-129F - is it mandatory??

Hey everyone - I am hoping to send out my I-129F application package soon. The only thing I'm not sure about is Question 16 - "If your fiance's native alphabet uses other than Roman characters, write his or her name and address abroad in the native alphabet". My fiance did type his name in his language on the G325A form already but not the address. I could copy what he wrote but I have no idea how to write in his native language and I'm afraid to make a mistake!

This is probably a stupid question but is it mandatory? I just don't want to get it wrong and then find myself in more trouble. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes he did but I'm afraid to do it incorrectly and also as someone who doesn't read or speak his language I can't attest that I know what the text says. I would just be blindly copying. I wonder if anyone else has been in the same boat?

Either blind copy or express mail it back. Maybe fined some one online or at a University.

Ok that makes sense. I didn't know if it could be typed (rather than handwritten) or not. But I don't know the language at all so should I disclose where I got the name and address from on my cover page? I guess I am really over-thinking this

BTW, you are certainly not the first, nor likely the last to deal with this situation....( I don't write Mandarin. . )

Thank you all for your responses! I'm going to paste into the form what my fiance sent me. Much better than me trying to hand write Arabic characters!

Use Google Translate and then copy and paste. Do your best.

No mandarin for me either, but we have built in translators.
