Hi there.... I am sure this topic has been discussed many times but I am having a hard time finding a forum that is at least recent. I see that current processing times for Texas (where I just filed at today) are 5 months, but on the visa timeline journeys on this website I am not seeing anything less than about 250 days... Has anyone out there been approved in less than 5 months? Me and my fiance want to get married by the end of June 2013, but after a long complicated journey we were only able to submit the petition just today. What do you guys think? Should I start planning for a wedding in June with expectation that it will be approved by then? Or should I wait until it is approved... Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

May 2012-August 2012: Another extended trip to Brazil to stay with Marcelo and his family.
October 25 2012: Sent I129F Petition.
October 31 2012: Received NOA1.
April 23, 2013: Received NOA2
June 11, 2013: K1 Visa Approved!!!!

You did not file at the Texas Service Center. If you did, you made a mistake.

If you followed the instructions, you filed at the Dallas (Lewisville) Lockbox. From there your petition will be transferred to either the California Service Center (CSC) or the Vermont Service Center (VSC) depending on where you live. Those are the only two service centers currently processing I-129F petitions. When you get your NOA1 (I-797C Notice of Action indicating that your petition has been received), the receipt number will tell you where they've sent your petition for processing. If it starts with WAC, your file is at CSC; if it starts with EAC, it's at VSC.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

You're right. I did file at the Lewisville lockbox. I didn't realize that they are different. Thanks :)

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Once you get the 1st Notice of Action from USCIS with a receipt number WACxxxxxxxx (CA Service Center) or EACxxxxxxx (VT Service Center) then you'll know where you case will be forwarded to. Average for CSC is at 90 days (we got our approved after 85 days) and VSC is at 6 month I believed.

Yes, you are on the right track! Processing times at California and Vermont centers are different. Right now Vermont is much slower but they tend to go back and forth as to which is processing faster. Good luck!
