Hello I would like some advice on what to do.I have 2 questions.first one is I met my girlfriend on a dating site last feburary we did not chat or msg to long on the dating site.we started chatting everyday on skype webcam.last week I went and met her and her family.Do I need to answer that I met her on the site, or can we say we just met on skype.the reason I am asking I have heard that there are certain requirement for dating sites to comply with the IMBRA.

The second question which worry me the most is on the form I-29F you are ask to answer if you had more then three alcohol offense.which I do,I am not proud of it, nor can I change the past.My question is will that automatic disqualfy me from being able to petion her for a K-1 visa.If it does would it be possible for me to marry her in Singapore, the country she lives in and get a K-3 visa for her.I have heard K-3 visa take longer, but in my case,I might not have a choice.

Thanks to anyone that might have advice for me

Sorry for any spelling errors

Having the alcohol-related offenses won't automatically deny the petition. But you will have to submit all court records related to each offense as well as making sure your fiancée knows all of the details as it's very likely it will come up during the interview.

Also, the K-3 visa is essentially obsolete. Your options would be to file the I-129F petition for a fiancée or, if you decide to marry first, the I-130 for a spouse. You can read more about the options in the VJ Guides. http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

Do not do the fiance visa, you will have to submit court records, get married and you will not.

You have to tell them you met on a dating website, lying is misrepresentation and carries a ban,NEVER EVER LIE TO IMMIGRATION, and you just don;t meet random people on skype. A k1 visa is for fiance, a k3 visa is for a spouse and is no longer issued even if you were married. You need to consult an attorney about your alcohol offenses
