I have a quick question regarding the affidavit of support for my wife's AOS.

Number 25 requires me to list my adjusted gross income from my latest federal tax return. Only problem is that my adjusted gross income was only $2,305 and the rest was non-taxable combat pay.

So should I just combine the adjusted gross income with the non-taxed income and put the total? Or should I just put the adjusted gross income as it's listed in the tax transcript that I'm including with the I-864?

Any clarity on the subject is appreciated.

For military personnel, ALL of your income qualifies, including any separate allotments for housing, rations, or special pay. Be sure to provide a copy of your military ID card to confirm that you qualify for the military exception.

All of the following qualifies as income for AOS purposes. If you receive housing in lieu of a cash housing allowance, you must include your BAQ/Housing Allowance equivalent in cash:

1. Basic Pay

2. BAQ/HA

3. Hazardous Duty Pay (combat)

4. Foreign duty pay

5. Separation allowance (FSA-II)

6. Seprats (Food Allowance)

7. Clothing Allowance (Uniform)

Do not include Travel and Per Diem allowance, transportation allowance, and others not considered as permanent pay or stable pay.

when they ask for the number in the tax papers, the number is in the tax papers.

no other adjustments can be done to those numbers.

when asked for current income, you can use all your income.

totally separate things. just saying.

I agree. When they ask for the amount from your past taxes on #25, put the amount listed on the specific year's 1040. When you list annual income, put down all that is allowed and counted for military pay. Send proof of current income, just like for the I-134.
