Hello! I have been planning to petition my parents but just a month ago my father started dialysis treatments. I was wondering will this affect my petition on them? My parents are from the Philippines. Is my father gonna be denied immigrant status because of his condition? Will he be able to pass the medical exam at st. lukes? Im confused right now as what to do. Thank you for any help.

Dialysis is not, in itself, a reason to deny. However you'll probably have to show that he already has insurance to cover these costly US treatments

Good luck

Your petition won't have any issues, and he will pass the medical, but the CO at interview almost certainly will require not just the usual 125% poverty level affidavit of support, but also proof that you have obtained health insurance for your dad (which will be difficult with the pre-exisiting condition)or are independantly wealthy so you can pay for his health care

US taxpayers do not want to pay for medical treatments for foreign nationals. So, your father will need to show he can pay for his medical needs to get an immigration visa. He has to prove that he is not likely to become a public charge (dependent on the government for his needs) to get an immigration visa.
